Drone Takeover #phantom

One of the most popular hashtags in the world right now according to hashtags.org is the simple word #phantom.  No not Phantom of the Opera or the model of European car, but actually the newest and most anticipated drone of the 2015 season.  This stunning air craft is capable of being flown directly out of the box and is able to be monitored from the users iPad or Android tablet.  Another interesting feature about this product is its use of a GPS system just incase something were to ever go wrong and your drone may encounter some issues.  This drone doesn't just fly around and look cool, it also takes stunning images.  Equipped with a Sony 1/2.3 inch CMOS sensor, this little guy can take some incredible images of parts of the earth that we have never been able to experience first hand before.  This #phantom trend is really sparking all across the world as it has started to bring in over 1,000 hashtags per hour according to hashtags.org.

So with all this hype and excitement towards the creation of drones, will we soon see the rise of drones in helping us with every day activities? Will we be able to develop technology using these machines to make simple everyday tasks into something that we can just tell this machine todo?  The future seems very bright as technology development and innovation continues to grow.

So why not check it out? The new Phantom2 vision+ is really something to be seen and watched as time continues.

  1. I really like the usability features of the #phantom drone such as the ability to fly it right out of the box and its compatibility with devices like the iPad. I agree that it will be interesting to see how drones are using increasingly for everyday tasks. I suspect that drones will be used primarily for security and photography purposes in the future.

  2. I totally want one; those camera specs are pretty impressive. But how stable is it? Nothing worse than shaky video. Off topic but I remember reading about Amazon's experimentation with drone delivery and how 'drone hunting' could easily become a 'new sport'. How far can we trust the public with our Amazon orders? O.o

  3. I feel as though having access to one of these would benefit the DCOMunity. Just imagine the Videography projects possible if we were to have access to one of these things.Recording outdoor sporting events would be presented with new angles from which a game such as baseball or football couldn't have been watched from before.

  4. When you think about it, it is really crazy how far along technology has come. The fact that cellphones at once never existed to now being able to control an aircraft through a little device is amazing to me. It makes me think about how “Back to the Future” predicted 2015 and how we are actually living up to a lot of what they predicted! Who knows what will come next after the #phantom!

I think this product has the potential to change videography, photography, media, and advertisement all over the world. I am looking forward to see how popular it becomes!

  5. DJI's drones are insane. My cousin has the DJI Phantom 1 and the possibilities are endless. Not only does the camera shoot in 1080p, but as the drone is flying it streams the video to your cell phone which would be anchored to the remote. You can watch live video from the drone all the way up until it's about 350 yards away and using GPS coordinates you can send it on trips to view whats below and around.
Not only are they fun to play with, but a local real estate company has contacted my cousin about doing fly-over pictures of properties. DJI is constantly setting the technological bar higher and the Phantom 2 is a perfect example of their innovation.
